Default is 30-60 normal oil pressure

car 2001 z28 m6

when my car was bolt on, the oil pressure would be 40 at idle and 60 at wot.

now with the cam install, double timing chain and new oil pump(ls6) my oil pressure is 30-35 at idle at 60 at wot, 40 at cruising.

Is 30-35 normal or too low.

I know pressure is the measure of flow resistance. I dont believe 30-35 is bad, but I am curious to know the opinions here!

Absolutely not.. Several reasons why it might have changed, but no worries at all.

After my h/c swap my idle pressure was 30psi and wot 40-45. Changed the oil pressure sending unit and it fixed it. ALl it takes is to damn near bump the sending unit and it messes up . I would replace it

is the oil sending unit located on the back of the block up by the intake?

I thought you have to either pull the intake or the trans to get to it.? The trans I have pulled to much lately (working on the clutch to want to do it again)

Pull the intake. The sending unit is probably $35
