Default Head torque specs?

this is my first time taking the heads off my car and it's time to put em back on. can anyone point me towards the right thread on the technique to torquing heads? or enlighten me on how to people tell me these bolts stretch and theres a certain way to do it.

You do need to use new heads bolts if you are using the stock ones. Go here for the torque spec:

A good sight to check out is www.LS1howto.com They have a step by step head swap on there with torque specs and procedures. Very informative.
