Default Re: Fordged Bottom End Setup Help...

Well i got my block honed .005, felpro head gaskets, and my new pistons pressed on my rods, and my crank polished and this cost 567.00

I got ross pistons from alan at FMS they came with total seal rings for about 600.00

I used Katech rod bolts are arp head studs 328.00

I think this will be a strong bottom end, I have been told it will hold a 300 shot of n2o.

It only cost me right under 1500.00

Default Fordged Bottom End Setup Help...

Im planning on doing fordge bottom end. I was hoping to use my block and crank. But put Good Rods/Pistons in it.

What would be required? New block? just hone this one out? resleve? bored out .010? What size Rods/Pistons... and will 2cc Valve Reliefs be enough u think? Trying to do this right but not expensive. IE no 382 stroker kits... i was hoping to stay around 4k or so.

I have a double roller TC, and Ported Oil Pump... will switch cams out.

Ordered Abs Spd stg2 5.7s milled .025

when I get the short block im going with a 230/232 .585/.585 112 +4 X-RE Lobe Cam

Thanks Jason.
