Critique my setup please
Critique my setup please I've got a stock shortblock in very good condition that I'm building up. I will be adding rod bolts for strength. I just ordered a TSP head/cam package: PRC 5.3L stage 2.5 heads, milled to 59cc, Cometic .040 head gaskets, and an MS4 cam on a 110LSA - car has full bolt-ons - see sig.
I've got flycutting tools, but no heads or valvetrain yet, and would like to cut the pistons now. Will a .100" cut on both intake and exhaust do the trick? Any special precautions that need to be taken with these head gaskets? Search doesn't work...
Anything I need to know about this setup? Comments?

Personally, if i had the block out i would go ahead and spend the extra cash on some forged pistons, aftermarket rods, hone job and a balance job. then it would be ready for whatever you wanted to throw at it.
