Is this normal?????

Just for the hell of it, I pulled off my oil filler cap when I cranked up my Vette the other day, and I noticed a little steam coming out. Like a train. Not a lot but I did notice a little. Is this normal????

you should be fine its probably just hot n burning a little. jus keep an eye on your oil level (like check it every few days) and see if its low

Its normal, just getting rid of some moisture that accumulated(sp) in the oil since the last time the car was started. Did you ever pick up a beater car?

I am guessing your car was already warmed up pretty good when you did this ? To put it simply it is like water, it starts to steam when it gets to a certain temperature.
