Exclamation need quick advice, lifter install

I'm swapping the lifters on my 98 with the LS7 lifters from SDPC.

When dropping in the new ones, the wheel of course goes so it can ride on the cam lobe.. but what side does the little hole go to? Does it face right or left? Does it matter?

Some of the old ones had it right, some had it left... Unfortunately, I didnt notice which side the hole was on for the first 3 on the passenger side.

when I installed my ls7 lifters, I oiled them a bit, and put them in the lifter trays...they only go in one way so you cannot screw it up...yes the roller needs to roll with the cam obvisouly...

I did not notice the orientattion of any little holes...I have had NO probs at 7000 RPM and an MS3....

Just go slow and double check orientation...like I said, you cant screw it up cause of the lifter trays

Good luck

Doesn't matter which way you align the hole, but on the Morels they face 90 degrees from stock and I elected to face them all to the oil gallery. Just **** that way

Check the bottom of the lifter hole for a lip or rise at the edge.

The new lifter shroud goes beyond this area and an edge can score the lifter.
