Gaskets were replaced in December with the cam swap, and the waterpump was torqued down correctly. If all else fails though, Ill check them as well.

give me the worst news it could be. Its not a head gasket-i pulled the plugs, they are clean, and theres no weird exhaust color or smell. The oil is still clean on the dipstick. If it doesnt any more, ill completely drain the oil.
My car is a 99, and everytime Ive either changed cams or heads thus removing the rad, I get that for a bit after putting everything back together. My guage has before shown me if ithas overheated so not to worry about that, lol.

I would drive it as is. This isnt the first Ive heard of this and Ive had no problems with the same issue year after year.

have you tried bleeding this way?

-cool the car off completely
-take the rad cap off
-start car
-ask a friend to blip the throttle, revving up and down
-keep pouring coolant into the radiator, keeping level as high as possible
-stop pouring when most air bubbles stop coming out
-recap

Oh, no problem, good luck. And just for reference, this method worked twice for me, and I have never had any overheating problems. Just ask the friend to keep blipping the throttle while you keep pouring. Should do the trick!

Well i did a little researching, and i decided to replace the radiator cap. I did that, and it seems like the level was still rising in the overflow tube while i had the car sitting there idleing. I guess im going to completely dain the radiator, and see what happens.

Im starting to think i might me pulling the heads sometime in the very NEAR future.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask something. Is there a way to tell if the car is overheating. I know the 99+ models have a dummy temp gauge. Will it still show if the car is overheating? Or will a light come on on the dash? Thanks

I think i got it fixed. I replaced the radiator cap, and it overflowed the first drive after the new cap. Its now been 3 days and it hasnt done it again. Hopefully i got it fixed.
