Default Comp XE-r 224

I was wondering if anyone here is running the Comp Cam 274XE-R cam. I have this cam with a set of TEA 5.3 stg 2's and a weiand intake that im going to install. Just looking for an idea of what everyone's getting power wise and how you like the cam for performance across the board. Specs are 224/230...581/.588 on a 114lsa. Thanks!

I know everyone is predicting about 420 for my set-up which will be the same intake ported & matched to a set of Bo White 5.3 heads. So for you with a little bigger cam & stage II heads, you'll probably pull down around 450 with a good tune.

thats what i've been told....somewhere around 430-450 but honestly man, if i put down 420 i'll be happy. Im thinking about rebuilding the motor also to freshen it up b/c i want to make that power for a while! Thanks for the info......

anyone else have a similar setup?

I have a 99 Vette with Stage 2.5 5.3 liter heads and Texas Speed's 224R cam (224/224 .581/.581 on a 112LSA). I have all the supporting mods (LS6 intake, longtubes, UD pulley, intake), and I hit 410whp 390tq with a tune geared more towards all around driveability and low-end performance. The cam you are looking at should easily put down 420 (or more) on an F-body. You'll looooove it! If you want to see my dyno, just go to my profile and look for threads I started, and you'll see a thread that has it.
