Shimming oil pump to .100

Shimming oil pump to .100 Well my engine is at the builder and debating about having my motor guy shim the oil pump. I called him today and told him to shim the spring .100 and he asked me if that was correct. I told him I was 99% sure. Should I have him go ahead and shim it .100?

Re: Shimming oil pump to .100 I shimmed mine .100. Don't know if that's the preferred amount but for mine, it was good.
While in the pump I suggest polishing the relief plunger and honing the bypass passageway. You can also port the pump's inlet and outlet passageways.
