base circle
today my friend and i were installing his cam and whe we measured the base circle we got
Stock = 1.552
TR230 = 1.463
is there going to be a problem with the install should we get longer pushrods.

That makes the new cam's centerline to lobe heal distance .044" less than your factory cam. Most of the aftermarket cams are around .027" less. Well, if you actually measured it correctly, you will need a set of 7.45" pushrods (.050" longer than stock)
Of course, this is assuming you don't mill the heads.
Ron,

Ron,
"TIN INDIAN" I forgot how to measure the base circle. I wrote down what you were telling me that night, but of course, can't find the damn paper
Can you tell me again please. I got my stock cam, next to my tr224, then I will compare those to my new cam when it comes in. (The HolySh*t CAM)
Assuming my P/V clearance checks OK.
