I just bought a jp performance timming chain set from ebay. The auction said it was for a ls1 enigne and that it was a slp chain set. I just got it in the mail and the package says it's for an ls2. I'm not that worried that it's not a slp because i got it cheap. On the back of the package it has all the part numbers for thier timming chains and the # for the ls1 is 5615T the # I got is 5623T. My question is what the differance and will this work on my ls1?

The chains for the LS2 have a hump halfway around the top front of the cam sprocket. This is for the cam sensor in the timing cover to read. Since you will still be using the cam sensor at the back of the block, it will make no diffrence to you, so yes, it should work just fine.
