Default Springs for X1 cam?

Are the 918 springs ok for the X1 cam or do i need to go ahead and get the double springs?

I'm using 918s with my F1 - almost identical specs. LOnSLO used 918s as well for quite a few miles. Of course - doubles don't hurt.

I just wanted to know what would be better to use. See i planned on using stock heads for a while and I know you have to do some work to fit double springs on stock heads unlike the 918's.

918's will work fine for that application with stock heads. I ran them VERY hard for 5000 miles with the F1 cam. (.591 lift) You may want to check spring pressure after 10000 miles or so, but they should be OK for about 15000 miles.
