Question about the original G5 cam

I have an opportunity to pick up an original G5 cam for really cheap and need some opinions on it. My car is a 2001 Camaro SS(M6). I have a lid/cut-out/3.73 gears/ported tb/ported maf/ls1edit. I've searched this board but can't seem to find any confirmation on specs.

Does anyone have an opinion about the cam? Headers will be in the future. How is the idle quality? Anyone have a sound clip? Also, what springs should I go with?

hi,

It is a 224/230 .581/574 on a 112

The best we got from that cam, with LS6 ported heads was 438rwhp/424rwtq.
It has alot of torque, and is a really good NOS cam. It drives like
it has no cam, but you can hear a nice lope at idle.

You can use 918 springs, but we like the Rev double springs now.

I dyno'd 395rwhp/377tq with that cam on stock heads and through a 12 bolt with 4.11s in a M6. My idle was set at 850rpms and you can still hear the lope, but not as lopey as some other cams out there. I drove with that cam in my daily driver for a while with no issue whatsoever using 918 springs.

I have a video of my car dynoing with that cam, but I have no place to host it.
