Ok. I know LSx motors are loud and some has piston slap noise. My motor has always had it but lately it has been getting louder and louder. Before it would only be noticeable for about 1-2 minutes, now the motor has to be fully warmed up before it would quiet down. You can hear it 30 feet away from the car. It eventually goes away but it takes a lot longer now compared to when I first got the motor running. If the noise translates to a rod knock I would say there not much bearing left, that is how loud it is. I know what rod knock and piston slap sounds like and the noise is definitely not knock but slap. But getting louder and louder.
