Oil Pump Rust?

I have a new TSP LS6 Oil Pump I bought NIB from a member and was curious. There are some small rust dots on areas of the pump. Should I be concerned with this?

Nothing to worry about, it's pretty common.

is it really nothing to worry about... i would feel better about myself if my motor didn't have any slight rust on it at all tho

Surface rust...it's a frikin oil pump, why don't they just coat it with oil before they send it out.

that way they could avoid this whole fiasco of people complaining about rust

i'm sending mine back. i don't want anything but shiny and cleanliness
