Cam Q's Two weeks from now I will be bringing my car in to get a custom comp cam 224/228 .581/.581 114lsa, they said this cam will work great on and off the n20, just wondering if I made the right decision... |
Re: Cam Q's You do realize with that kind of lift you will need some good springs, probably dual coils would be best; and you will need to replace the springs once a year. Plus you will have a lot of valve train noise. I would personally go with a little lower lift, but it's your call. |
Re: Cam Q's I agree. If your running stock heads .550 would be good, but if you want to upgrade to better heads later, I would say around .560-.575 lift. Just my 2 cents  |
Re: Cam Q's I do realize that, also I was told that it would work out the best with the n20, I'm getting comp ovate wire springs, comp 7.400' chrome moly pushrods, crank bolt and sensor, dyno tuned gears,injectors,t-stat,cam, and I will also be putting on true duels!!!! :drive: |
Re: Cam Q's Do you guy's think this cam will make good power throughout the powerband???? |
Re: Cam Q's I would like info about this also, it would seem you'd have to rev the snot out of the motor to get into the power band. |
Re: Cam Q's :eek2:???What, I was told that this would be the best to go with sense I'm spraying, my buddy just put in the 224/224 .581/.581 and he's making great power with that cam, I on the other hand went with the split dur. 224/228 just because they said it would work better with the N2o, did I make the wrong choice?????? |
