I know this has been covered countless times, but i keep getting errors when trying to search for specific things using the board's advanced search so I apologize in advance.

I have been actively searching for an engine for a little while but keep hearing about differences in the LS1. from what I have gathered, 98-01, and 01+ there are some important differences but I cant for the life of me find out, in detail, what they are! I know about the intake manifold and something about the rod bolts (doesnt matter, going ARP studs) but id like to know for sure what im dealing with here so I can make the right choice on the engine for my car.

engine is going to basically live at 4000+ rpm and be track only, so any build suggestions would also be helpful.
