Im about to do plug and wire change on my 02 LS1. On the NGK TR55, what should the gapping be?

NGK's website shows .044 for the TR55s and LS1, yet I've seen .055 all over the forums. Why the descrepency?

My Haynes manual says .060. I just changed the plugs, but didn't start the car yet because I'm doing other stuff. The plugs that I pulled out were gapped to .060.
