ls1 w/ 862 heads?

ls1 w/ 862 heads? i've got an LS1 with stock 862 heads. i have yet to crank it up and am now unsure about the 862 heads. The LS1 is out of a 2002 camaro and is basically stock.
Should i look for a different set of heads, such as the 241, 243 or have these ported or????
I saw a post by staringback05 that stated "DO NOT PUT STOCK 5.3 heads on your car it wont run right"
any thoughts?
