Default stock idling cam, most power?

Tried search, but the search hasnt been working for the past few days it looks like.

Anyway, I will soon be purchasing a 2000 camaro SS M6 and would like to mod it up a bit. Its going to be a daily driver for about a year and then will become a cruiser. I am looking for 400 rwhp or a bit more with something that will keep my gas mileage over 25 mpg and will NOT lope or change the stock idle much. I already have a h/c/i 93 firehawk that is modded out and loud and lopey. i will also be doing something with the heads/intake if necessary to make the power.

Thunderracing has the cheatr cam package which i am interested in. What other cams/head combos are out there that is what im looking for? what kind of fuel upgrades will be necessary? I'd like to do this with a full catted exhaust. Suggestions?? Thanks.

with a stealth like cam i think its going to be hard hitting 400rwhp. if your doing intake i would do a fast 90/90 set up and a nice mild set of heads. get all bolt ons and w/ the cam get a pulley and it might be able to be done

A cheater with heads and bolt ons can get you there. I tuned a 04' GTO with heads and a cheater with bolt ons. Full exhaust with cats it made 380+ to the tires. No intake or throttle body on that one.

MTI stealth II (220/224 .581/.581 116+0 LSA)
good set of ported 5.3's or LS6's - milled for apx 11-1 comp
with supporting mods (ls6 intake - dont have to have fast 90)
400+ through an M6 should be easily attainable
its not about big cams to make big power - the proper matching combo makes power
obviously with all the other supporting mods
