Okay, so i posted a thread a while ago about my motor making a metal "CLANKING" sound..my dad took the car to a local chevy dealer to see what was causing it..the mechanic told my dad that he has had several LS1's come in with the same problem and it turned out to be the cam lobe got messed up...i orignally thought it was my lifters or a rod..but so my dad calls me and tells me that its my cam and i should just by an aftermarket one..so i ordered the thunder racing 224/224 .563/.563 lsa 114 with the 918 valve springs and hardned rods...the tech said that was a popular choice. i hope i made the right choice with the cam.and also...has anyone heard of the the ls1 cams lobes messing up??

The motor in that pic did not get rebuilt. The hardfacing went through everything so it was scrapped.
Prolly go for Comp lifters but ask your friendly tech.
