Torquer V.2 question
Torquer V.2 question this may have been asked before, but everytime i search its bringing me to google. I'm going to order a TSP camshaft package, and i'm kind of concerned about the 918 package they have. They 918's say they can support .600" of lift, and the v.2 is like .595"/.598" i believe. Is this pushing the 918's? I could get the PRC dual spring kit, but its an extra 120 bucks which i was going to use to buy a timing set. Will the 918's work safely, and reliably with a v.2?
Get the PRC dual springs,its definitly worth the extra 120 bucks.Also there have been horror stories about the 918 breaking and you dont want that.As far as a timing set,just get the LS2 chain...its all you really need and its cheap.
thanks, i actually just read a thread that was up on the top of this forum about the breaking 918's. I thought comp springs were a quality spring....until they figure out the problem, and correct it, they lost one customer. Looks like ill be getting PRC duals for my v.2 swap.
Definately look to the double spring setup. I've seen many 918 t2 cars work very well, but the double spring will give you a much longer life!
