1.85 RR ?'s I know this topic has been discussed before and yes I've used the search option. However my question seems a bit more unique. I've got Cali emissions to deal with! Getting to the point I found a deal on SLP's 1.85 rr's for shy $200, a screaming deal honestly!
The car, 02 C5, with vararam, 1 3/4 lt's to a BB exhaust puts down 360hp/380tq "wednesday motor....I think so". The tune is pretty aggressive which is ok by me, granted I'd like to throw an MS3 in the car and play but again I have emissions to deal with. The most popular cam in CA seems to be the 224/224 .595/.595 114LSA. Duration and overlap kills smog and my tuner says that the most he's been able to get to pass was a 228/230 and I dont know how much lift that was. Anyways I'm throwing these rockers on but I wanted opinions on cam options, keep smog in mind and what kind of power I will make.
Personally I'm looking for around 400-440 rwhp, that will make me more than happy. If I do heads they will be LS6's, nothing more. Let me know your thoughts.

The 1.85 rockers add 10% lift to the cam. I think they will only give you about 12hp with the stock cam. I have an article somewhere here with these 1.85 and the 02 Z06 cam getting 20hp. I think you are better off with ported heads and something like a Lingenfelter GT2-3 or maybe the Thunder racing cheatr cam.
