going to be getting a comp cam 228/230 112lsa cam pretty soon, def need new springs, and is it ok to use used ones? and was thinking about an ls2 timing chain. what else would u guys recommend? i still have an ls1 intake, is the ls6 needed for this cam?

Ok, here is a good list.
Patriot Gold dual spring kit ($255 shipped from ws6store.com)
7.4 Chromemoly pushrods (pretty much a must & about $110 from TSP)
LS2 timing chain ($36 from TSP)
GM Basic cam bolt & gasket kit ($44 from TSP)
Now that would be about it if you left your LS1 intake on. But if you do the swap then your gonna want the following also.
LS6 intake ($300-350 used on here)
LS6 coolant conversion kit($41 from TSP)
I'd also put back a extra $100-150 for misc. parts, RTV & stuff like that. Becareful with the oil pressure sending unit on the rear of the intake. They usually break pretty easy if your not watchin in.
