Hotcam question

Hotcam question Anyone using the hotcam with the stock ls1 springs? I hear they are good for .563 or so lift max and the hotcam has a .525 or so lift so how well would these two work together? Also, is there any place I can buy the hotcam seperate instead of the entire kit?

Re: Hotcam question yeah....just get the entire HotCam kit (cam, springs, retainer clips) and install it. The factory LS1 springs already have enough valve float problems with the stock cam. Adding a larger cam (even the HotCam) is only going to make it worse.
