Default Hotcam question

Anyone using the hotcam with the stock ls1 springs? I hear they are good for .563 or so lift max and the hotcam has a .525 or so lift so how well would these two work together? Also, is there any place I can buy the hotcam seperate instead of the entire kit?

Thanks!

Dude, do it right and change the springs... You cannot buy the Hotcam alone, it's only sold as a kit (with springs)

yeah....just get the entire HotCam kit (cam, springs, retainer clips) and install it. The factory LS1 springs already have enough valve float problems with the stock cam. Adding a larger cam (even the HotCam) is only going to make it worse.
