Cam Recommendations

Cam Recommendations I need some cam recommendations for the following setup.
Port and Polish heads (stock valves/Nearly Stock heads)
150 Wet shot of TNT
Hooker Super Comp Headers/True dual exhaust
Stock internals
TH400 Tranny/transbrake/4000 stall
4.10 Gears/28" slicks
Okay, I hope that enough info. Can you recommed a good cam. Idle quality not important, actually the bigger the better, but not to big to overpower the heads. Car will be dyno tuned/LS1 Edit. Driven on weekends only for track and street racing. So what sounds good??

Re: Cam Recommendations If I were you, I woould look into some of thunder racings custom grinds. Since your spraying nitrous, there reverse pattern cam is perfect for you. (224/230 .564 .57x EXAMPLE) If you want more, well then make your own spec cam up. I made up my brand new cam, and as soon as my heads get here i can finally see how she will perform. 228/236 .571.602 @111LSA. This is a nice and healthy cam, but It will over power your current heads.

Do you want a cam to help the nitrous or have it run like a bat out of hell on motor, and focus on that.... while having the nitrous as a "ace in the hole".
Or do you want a cam that will compliment both (N/A and nitrous) while maximizing neither?

Re: Cam Recommendations Thats a damn good question. To be honest I would like something that would make the car run like a bat out of hell all the time. The nitrous will still be a main fixture for the track, and any SERIOUS (money) street races. So to answer your question.....80% NA/20% N2O. I would like the nitrous to always be on tap to save me from a loss....with 150 shot, its always easy to make up lost ground. So I guess "ace in the hole" would be my answer.

Re: Cam Recommendations with nitrous you will see better numbers with a traditional split cam (not a reverse split), futral makes an awsome fI/nitrous cam, about the same as the thunderracing cam mentioned jsut a little more aggressive.

I would also consider knocking down that converter size a little, unless you are going with the yank 4000 that is used w/nitrous...you don't want to be flashing to the limiter...
