Default How much can it handle

I have an 00 ss and was wondering about a good rule of thumb on how much the internals can handle as far as hp goes? Anyone?

Ive seen SI cars break 500whp. Some dont last much past 400. Depends. There are too many variables.

SI?
They can HANDLE a pretty fair amount. I've seen 530rwhp on a friend's '99 car without problems. And I'm sure I'm making about 550ft/lbs on my car on spray with flycut pistons. The car can handle about whatever you throw at it... within reason.

It will handle up to 600+ if done correctly

My nephew is running 545 rwhp in his nitrous car with stock internals. He spent a long time picking the correct parts, and that must have a lot to do with it, but with a good tune and on an engine that isn't in trouble to begin with, 550 at the wheels should be very doable.

ic ic. well i have a torquer 2, longtubes, lid etc.. and am getting ready to order the stage 2.5 5.3 heads from tsp and I already have two intakes not for sure which one i'm gonna use. I have a fast 90 and a pp 96. would a car in mechanicaly good condition handle this setup and a 100 shot or would that be to much for stock internals?

As long as you have plenty of fuel with no timing issues you should be fine.
