Default lifter tool

i had some 5/16 rods from lowes that i was going to use to hold the lifters up on the cam swap. the one on the right side slid right in. the one on the left went in just a little and kept stopping. i was so pissed this was happening right in the middle, i almost wanted to get a hummer and pound that mother fu@#er in there. i didnt feel like running down to the store to get a smaller piece so i looked around the garage to see what i could rig. i saw my stock antenna lying in the corner that i swapped for the bitviper antenna. it slid right in and did not get stuck. so if you have two vehicles with the long antennas you already have the cam install tools. just wash them before you put them back on.

Just because something slides in there does not mean it will hold the lifters, something like an antenna is too skinny.

If you grind down the side of the 5/16th rod a bit, it will fit in the driver side easy. Spin the cam while it's going in too.

It is imperative that the tool fit tightly or don't bother using it. You only have the very small shoulder of the lifter for the tool to catch otherwise you're wasting your time and risking dropping a lifter(s).
