Default Gut the cats???

Ok, here is the deal... I put a G5 cam in my 2001 SS. I'm still running the stock manifolds and cats(i know, i know) The long tubes and ory are coming in about a month or so... My question is, with the current setup, will I see much of a gain from doing away with the cats? I'm not worried about sound or emmisions...

Thanks

Through the stock manifolds, the gain will be slight but not monumental. Now, the headers and ORP? Now that's a different story. If you are in an "emissions testing free zone", skip the cats all together.
