Default wierd squeeking noise from driver side head??

ok so i did a beat runs and next thing i know my car is making this loud tick/squeek noise that ive narrowed it down to the passenger side head. sounds as if it were a dry loose bolt that is squeeking around but ive checked everything. pulleys are fine and it is definately coming from the head under the valve cover. i tried feeling the valve cover while the noise came in and i couldnt feel anything hitting it from inside. thge noise is gone when at idle but once i start driving it comes on through 1400-2500 rpm maybe higher but i cant hear it. it also is there on decelleration. could i have a bent push rod or valve? maybe somehow a bad bearing?

sounds like a bad rocker but pull the valve cover and see what you find

You have to inspect the rocker; they have c-clips on each side. Make sure all the c-clips are there. If you're going to pull the rockers to inspect them, you may as well pull the pushrods and roll them on a piece of glass to make sure they are straight. Also with the rockers look for unusual wear at the tip.

After you remove the rockers the pushrods will be loose and will come right out. Be sure to clean up the bolts that hold the rockers down before putting them back in. I bought an extra bolt and ground the threads off two sides to use it as a tap to clean the holes out, too.

When reinstalling them, they should be torqued to 22ft-lbs if I remember correctly. You should use Loc-Tite on them, too. After they've been torqued down, turn the crank 180 degrees and check the torque on them. After that just slap everything back together and fire it up.
