With a set of stock heads, you shold be fine with that duration. I'm on the stock heads with my 242/242 .595/.617 112

I'm no expert though

i was told by vengeance racing that on an otherwise stock motor their vindicator cam only had .030 PTV clearance on the intake valve, and that was at .604 lift. in my opinion even .030 was way to close. any more lift than that is way to much without flycutting.

Initially it seems like you'll be OK with the stock heads...however it's awfully close.

both affect PTV clearance. when in doubt, build the motor and clay it. if it's too close, time to flycut. .100 is nice, but i personally wouldn't go less than .80. everybody has a different answer, it's all up to you how close you consider too close.

I would think that duration on a 112 would fit. It is however, a big cam. No way I would run it without checking PTV first. Then you have to decide what you are comfortable with.

Not at these durations. The lift that affects PTV is not .050 lift but what is called "Tappet Lift" and those are two different things. Poeple in general confuse those.

.030 clearance is insane and only a Lunatic would run that on any "Street" setup.

.080/.100 (int/exht) are the accepted "safe" norms and that is not even on a hydraulic setup.
