Question What Heads to pair this Katech Cam with ??

I found this Katech cam and by the looks of the spec, 229 / 229 @ .050, .576 / .576 lift, 116 LSA, It looks like a strong cam with a sleeper lope.

What do you guys think should be a good match for this cam ?

I know it depends on my budget and all but I want to get an idea of what power I should expect with different head combinations.

Also, I think this cam will be a sleeper but can someone who has knowledge of cams tell me how it will sound just by reading the specs ?

Thanks to everyone

That cam has -3* overlap so it should sound close to a TR224 114 LSA (for reference since that cam has plenty sound clips)

It is on relatively soft lopes, friendly on spring. It should also have some decent trq output.

a small runner head like the afr 205 should work great with that cam.

TEA's stage 1.5 5.3L or PRC's 2.5 5.3 L Heads should work just fine with that camshaft. Good luck

Cool

I originally wanted to get AFR heads to pair this cam with but of course you know, I have cheap thoughts in my head of some PRC heads and save some money.

Should I be in the 430 rwhp with heads and this cam ? and of course all bolt ons, or should I expect higher ???

And PEDATOR-Z, How can I find the overlap of a cam ???? The more its close to a positive number the less chop right ?

it just so happens that i have a good set of tea stage 1 heads i'd let go cheap if you're interested. that cam has fairly easy lobes so i don't know about 430 but maybe 410- 420 should be possible.i made 436 rw with those heads and a 228r but i also had a fast 90/90.

Positive overlap more lope chop, negative overlap less chop and more stealth.
