BBC valve springs on a LS1 ?
i heard that you can machine ls1 heads to fit the 1.550 big block chevy valve spring.
1) is it true?
2) is it better than the comp 918's
3) how much would a swap cost?
4) would you have to change pushrods or any other valvetrain peices?
im going to get my stock heads ported but im stuck on this spring issue please help

Why would you want that much spring with LS1? Hydraulic lifters are limited to around 150lbs. on seat and 375 lbs open. Bigger springs want to saw thru ported intake port runners, have possible valve cover and rocker clearance issues, wear valve guides and lifter bores faster, weigh more so valvetrain mass increases slowing rev speed, need more installed hheight requiring longer push rods and raised rocker arm pedestal height for proiper geometry. Is that enough?
