Sorry I didn't post this earlier.....

The noise ended up being a wrist pin. All of my bearings were fine when I pulled the motor. So I replaced all the bearings, rings, and put Wiseco forged pistons in while it was apart. She runs like a scalded ape now.....well compared to some, she runs like a pussycat...compared to others, she runs like a scalded ape <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

A wrist pin is the link between piston and connecting rod. It seems a little odd that your noise came and went if it was a pin. Also since pin is pressed in rod, than wear must have been in piston pin bore since aluminum is softer than steel pin.

If you spun a rod bearing wouldn't it cut off the oil to that rod journal? If it does this it will not run very long at all. It will go to pieces.
