Default Heads/Cam reliability

how many of you heads/cam guys are daily driving your cars? im not talking extreme, im talking a mild setup. (Cam under 230 duration) and how much is mpg affected, i have heard that with a good tune it doesnt change much at partial throttle

- Im sure this has been discussed but the search seems to be screwy lately
