stick with what you have always used before, or has been used before. If you are unsure of that I would do a search on oil preferences here on ls1tech. There are several threads with a lot of great info and past experience results.

try the search as there has been many many threads about oil.

I use Royal purple 10W40 and my motor likes it, in my 98 I had it liked the Amisol. You can get the best oil for our cars on ws6 store- castrol german oil- 0W30.

With that many miles I'd go with a high-mileage specific oil. For the hot weather, I'd use a 40 weight.

I don't know, I have 130K and I would rather put German Castrol in my car than some Valvoline non-synthetic oil.

My oil pressure isn't the best (~36-38 hot idle on really HOT days and about 65 or so max on a hot day at 5000RPM.
