Pushrod Length Method
My pushrods are the wrong length. Here is my methodology:
1. I measured my stock cam's base circles (intake and exhaust) to be 1.500"
2. Then I called comp cams and with my serial number got the base circle measurements (intake and exhaust) 1.445" and 1.433"
3. Then I looked up the stock pushrod length 7.400" (roughly some say a little less like 7.395").
4. I subtracted the base circles of the stock and aftermarket cam.
1.500-1.445=.055
5. I added .055" to 7.400" = 7.455"
This should be my required length right?
The only thing is I called Texas Speed and told them my method but they said to add half of the difference so only .025 yeilding 7.425" as my required length. Any input?
That said, get a pushrod length checker

Yeah I realize I am retarded. I looked at the diameter duh
. So if I get the 7.425" I should be right on the money.
