Are these things supposed to be loud? I am using them with yella terras and my car has a LOT of valve train noise.....especially after a good pull.

 

did you verify PR length? and use the shims for the YT's?

 

Mine sound about like I expected. I can hear the valvetrain more from underneath the sides, I suspect from the headers. The noise gets a little louder when it gets warmed up but that's about it. A really quiet valvetrain would be nice but it isn't noticeable from inside with the windows up.

 

Mine is quiter than the stock lifter I had. Did you check your preload?

Should be the #88958689, mine is just as quite as before.

 

yeah the 88958689 are the caddy lifters and the 12499225 are the LS7 lifters i think.
