241 heads question???

241 heads question???

Ok so i've been told that only 01-02 F-bodies came with the 241 heads. I looked at the heads on my 2K WS6 and there is "241" stamped on it in fact. Do i have a freak or is everyone else wrong?

Must be a late run 2k vehicle. Possibly some 2k's got the 241 heads near the end of the assembly of 2k engines before the 01's started.

01+ got the 241 heads, the Zo6 heads are the 243's.

Well it's a 2K and it's got the 241 heads. Maybe it's misprinted on the title and it's really in fact a 2001? Doubt it though.

Like someone said, the late run 2K's did get the 241 heads, so your car must have been one of the later run.

nothing is wrong with 853's...the crappy heads are the 806 heads which came on the cars with perimeter bolt valve covers like mine

I've read that the 853's are said to be down about 5-7 hp over the 241's, so no biggie at all.
