LS1 heads considerations on a big bore?
How well would a ported LS1 head work on a big bore block?
I'm replacing my 3.905" block with a 4.125" block, and plan to reuse most of the existing components (D1SC 8-rib, 224/227-.563/.569-114LSA cam, 6.125 rods, stock crank). The heads are WCCHR/A&A Stage 2 CNC LS1 heads, stock valve sizes but with 72cc chambers. I'm considering Wiesco turbo duty pistons #K393A125 (4.125x3.622x6.125x.927) except the dish is too big (-25cc).
