If bone stock car: headers

Stall, yeah but better buy a good one and that is ~ $700

There is no $400 "Safe" nitrous system. Most complete and safe on stock is NOS 5177 and it is $550+ IIRC

In order

Headers
True duals
Converter
Gears
Nitrous
Heads/Cam
Rearend

Theres no safe wet kit you can buy for $400. I agree with Pred. A good NX kit is like $800.. And that doesnt even include the bottle warmer, purge, or electrical **** to wire it

plz dont call it "nos" kit..
"hey guys im going to go put nitrous on my car"
VS
"hey guys im going to put NOS on my car"

AS TO:

"hey guys im going to go buy a computer"
"hey guys im going to go buy a dell"

lol.. the word nitrous is kinda broad, while NOS is a specific company.

NOS is a specific division of Holley, also it is an abreviation of nitrous oxide system.
Use whatever you like, juice, nawz, Nos, gas, ...whatever just as long as you're happy and you go fast.

Ever since the 'Too Fast' movies, suddenly we have to be politicaly correct on the nitrous

Have we become sooo shallow in our society????

Headers, gears or a TC

I wouldn't mess around with a $400 nitrous kit

Dyno tune sells their nitrous kits for 359.99 with bottle.....Its pretty complete, minus the purge, window switch and some safety stuff....but its not like u cant run it the way it is. Its a good basic kit that will get u the power u want and will work right outa the box, or u could even look in the forsale section and find near complete kits for 400.

$400 wont get you crap...

spray is the only thing that you'll really want...but $400 is still not enough...well, to be safe at least!
How bout a lid and some sort of exhaust? (Or do you already have that)

but no2, is only there when the bottle is full, and you have it on, the gears and converter will be there every day and make car alot more fun and faster at same time. the no2 will make it fast at that one time you are all setup to race. plus if a silanoid sticks......better have another car.

thats why u get a fuel cut off switch!!!!

and hes got the point exactly.. the fast is there wh en u want it.. u can determine when u want it. its less wear on your engine because thi nk about it..

you can have 500hp ALL THE TIME
or
500 HP whenever you press that one button

its less wear to your motor in a sense, because its not like heads/cam... its not there all the time

nitrous all the way

I thought the limit was $400??

Get a lid/cutout and save the rest.

EDIT:

I don't think anyone asked if your car was an auto or 6spd.

If it's an auto, here you go

He won't notice a steeper gear enough IMO to justify getting them...gears are fun when you have more power than stock...seriously...I had 4.10s in my high horsepower SS, and WOW. I have also ben in stock cars with 4.10s and it is not the same thing...again this is MY OPINION...

If you are bone stock: lid and catback...if you have those then either a great set of headers or N20...
Its a toss up.

Those are BEST BANG FOR BUCK items and that is what he was looking for..

Oh yea seriosuly though, if $400 and no more, is all you can muster, get a lid, smooth bellows, filter (or run without one), all the free mods (descreen MAF, P&P MAF and throttlebody, etc.) cutouts (the cheap ones not the electric QTPs), and an under drive pulley is probably your best bang for the buck. If you buy all of that used you should be able to get in under $400.

Just don't see how you can have safe nitrous for under $400, even with a used kit. I think the tune alone will run you $400.
