Default new motor time.

So, I have been deployed to Afghanistan and i was recently (two months ago) medavac'ed out of country and i will be finaly coming home. well my buddy pulled my motor apart and 2 of the barrings are shot and the cylinder walls are scoured(sp?) anyways he recomeneded looking into doing a 6 liter block into a 408....I have already turbo charged the motor, is this going to cause alot more of a headache? or is it not that big of a swap?

also who do you recomend for a rotating assembly

the iron block is an easy swap. the only things different are the ground on the passenger side block and the alternator mounting. i didnt tap the alternator bolt hole, but the alternator will not budge with the two bolts anyways. for the ground, its just a little further towards the front of the car on the 6.0. other than that it is a direct swap. i just did the swap with an iron 6.0 so it was pretty easy. the ls2 6l would require some slight mods.

i dont know how much boost you could run with 5.3 heads on a 408. that compression might be kind of high.

the turbo setup should fit no matter what direction you go.
