wasnt a burnt valve......... I finally had a chance to work on my car yesterday, I thought I had a burnt valve but come to find out it was a broken push rod, when I took the head off the thing was just sittin there in the retainer, it crack about 2/3 of the way up, thank god for those retainers, probably would have grenaded the whole engine, well, now I'm sitting here thinking this could be a $30 fix or since its half way apart anyway, I could spend 4k and get all the engine stuff I've wanted, what should I do? 
Re: wasnt a burnt valve......... Cracked push rod. Just fix it and do a leakdown test on it. Spend money after making sure everything is ok still. Sound like some serious valve float. Could have bent the valve.
