LS1 gen III engine mods Hi everyone, I am new to thi site and i have some questions to ask.
#1 I am building an ac cobra replica useing a gen iii engine, my motor needs to be rebuilt (was burning oil and slight piston rattle) it is dismantled and requires a crank polish, new pistons and reassemble.
Would it be worth the cost of fitting a 383 stroker crank kit (comes with crank, bearings, rods, pistons, balancer, reluctor, all fully balanced)?
#2 If no to the stroker, where can i get pistons from?
#3 Do i need a maf sensor, i now that the hsv range of vehicles dont use them?
#4 Will i benefit from a larger throttle body, will i need a larger throttle body?
#5 Do these heads look like a good deal, i will get stage 2 head and cam package http://www.pavtek.com.au/ls1_hc.html

Re: LS1 gen III engine mods Sounds like an interesting project, an AC Cobra kit car would be great with an LS1 in it due to the low weight of the LS1. You can run an LS1 in speed-density mode without the MAF. Good luck!
