Default headgasket and valvetrain questions

if i put a cometic .040 head gasket on and the stockers are .055 (if i remember correctly) and my cam has a advertised lift of .588, so by lowering the head .015 does that mean that my valve actually goes to .603?

also, with this setup what would my compression ratio be? i know its not a big change but im still curious.

how much PTV clearence is there with .588 lift with everything else stock?

thanks in advance

Going to that head gasket will bump your static compression up something like .3-.4 depending on other factors.

Gross valve lift is the lift of the lobe measured at the cam, multiplied by the rocker ratio...the valve will physically open .588" with a stock rocker ratio(1.7) regardless of any other factor.

Maximum lift will rarely matter when figuring piston to valve clearance because the piston will be near the bottom of the cylinder while maximum lift is archived.
