Exclamation Need Info. - Lingenfelter Heads / Cam

ok guys i have a few friends that swear by the lingenfelter heads u can get that reuse the stock 241 castings but they do work to them. my friends claim that the heads create over 40 hp to the wheels guaranteed and are better than the et's, afr, trick flows etc. i really dont beleive it has anyone used these heads. what do yall think? also theres a friend that claims lingenfelter has a cam out thats made over 100hp at the wheels which i do not beleive. are they just dreaming or what?

Someone is trying to feed you some crap. heads make 40hp over stock, maybe? Better than AFR, ETP, TFS, no way! cam that adds over 100hp to the wheels, no way. Unless you swap headers, exhaust, intake, etc. and the same time.

LPE makes some darn good stuff. They have ported 241 heads on their site. They also sell ported 243 heads. The 243 heads are also the same GMPP LS6 heads that LPE does for GM. I don't know about HP claims but if I had a set of LPE heads, I'd stick them on my car. LPE knows a thing or two about making LSX engines go fast.

I believe LPE was one of the first companies to offer a 400 hp head and cam package back in 1999 for the camaro/corvette. I think this was done with their 241 heads and a GT2-3 cam.

Good luck.
