Lift doesn't effect squat for the bottom end of the engine. If your valvesprings can handle it, and your lifters can handle your valvesprings, go with some damn lift! And, because I know it's coming, lift doesn't effect piston to valve clearance either.

Yep, 918 springs can only handle .600 (now revised to slightly less by Comp says the tech) guess the only question is to go FI or not will determine which LSA to choose.

Not to get off topic but I am, Asmodeus. How would you rate the Patriot LS6 heads?
They look like good bang for the buck. But how much do you think you netted from them?

I'll know within the next week, I was just going to go with a cam only but they were too good a deal to pass up. Also just wanted to upgrade to an LS6 intake but decided to try the Typhoon with good looking rails for the same price

I'm guessing they are worth 30rwhp over stock heads, maybe 35-ish, where TFS and AFR are probably worth 50.

I am running the X3 on a 114... Mine is not a DD but I guess it could be though. Here is a little vid of the exhaust.

My buddy has a 228/228 .588/.588 on 112 with stock 3.42s and it drives very nice.

I have a 228/230 .588/.591 114+1 and it drives as close to stock as I could ask for, except for the power and idle But I do have AFR heads

From what I have seen, cams in the low 230s on the intake, and low-mid 230s on the exhaust should still drive nice if tuned properly.

I've been daily driving my Futral F13-114 cam for over a year now in an A4 and love it.
