Default How much hp can this hold regularly?

I was wondering how strong this set up would be...I plan to use this in my set up using the lsX block... the folks at speed inc are awfully busy it seems and have yet to respond to the same question.... so here goes:

1997-2004 LS1 Extreme 408 (Iron Block)
Extreme SHORT BLOCK INCLUDES:
-Billet 4.00” stroke 4340 crank
-Billet 6.125” connecting rods
-Diamond Flat top Piston w/2cc reliefs or -8.6cc Boost pistons
-Diamond Pro-select rings
-High performance bearings
-All Gaskets, seals and hardware for short block
-Fully balanced/blueprinted/Finish hone w/torque plate, assembled

thanks you guys

low side like 450 rwhp... high side 650 to 700 rwhp... it depends a lot on the tune and cam and heads... if you get a good match and tune it right with a sc you could get even more... good luck... mark

really??? thats all? Even with billet internals? they say that the block is good for 2500 horsepower (lsX) and I assumed that the billet internals would be able to handle at least in the 900s or 1000s region. Twin turbo is what I am planning to run... 8.0:1 compression and mid 20 pounds of boost is what I am shooting for

If you are talking about the warhawk block, then it will handle anything you throw at it. Provided you have a good tune. Especially with the boost. I wouldn't be afraid to do it.

Yes. It will handle anything you could dream of driving in a straight line.

EDIT- next time just say "LSX" and we will applaud you.
