im sold my short block and just got a bare 6.0 block. i started swapping my parts and i forgot about the plates that hold the cam in. does the rear cover hold the cam in from the back or is there a plate like on front that goes on? also does anyone have a part number for the covers and the front plate. i also need the timing gears and chain. thanks

 

the rear cover holds the cam. no plate in the rear like the one on the front. i have 3 front covers and one rear cover sitting at my shop.

thank you for the response. another quick one. do all the sensors out or an 02 346 ls1 swap over into a 6.0 iron block? i have one i know of that has no home. it is a tanish color and im not sure what it does. about 4 inches long with a larg diameter 6 point head on it.
