Default lifter help!

i am helping a buddy put new push rods in his 98 ls1... it has been quite some time since i have adjusted lifters on a small block. can anyone send me a link to a good write up on specifications and steps. something like a how to guide for refreshment... thanks

ls1's are a cake walk.. no real adjustment unless you have adj rockers. just slap in the new pushrods tighten down the rockers torque to 22 ft/lbs rotate engine check torque again.

thanks i usually will adjust them with the engine running but on a f-body that is hard! thanks again

Yea there really isn't any lifter adjustment to be made. They just drop right in & have lifter trays over them. The only thing you can really do is check pushrod length with a checker or double check the adjustment on the rockers if they are adjustable.
